Today a parent came and spoke with the children about what it is like to live in Wales. The most important question asked and answered, is that no, there are no whales in Wales:)
Gareth told the children of St David's day and how you eat Welsh cakes (it was yesterday), about the sport of Rugby, his daughter dressed in traditional Wales dress to show the children how it differs from what they were wearing. They looked at the world map, as well as satellite maps to see what Whales looks like from space! He told the children about the dragon on the Wales flag, and why it was red, and showed pictures of people in leek hats as well as people dressed up as the national flower (the daffodil). They spoke of mountains and castles and the Welsh language. There was fun had by all so we give a heart felt thank you to Gareth!
